Have you ever been involved with a team while working on a project?

Tell the truth , If you have not been involved then just say that you are a team player , and like to be a part of a team . This way you can learn more and be able to share your knowledge with others.

If you have worked with a team then say yes and specify an example that represents you as a team player.

The answer above is good, here is another tip:
keep in mind that the term "team-player" may be interpeted very diffrent by people and so by interviewers:
- some might see "team-player" as someone who can take a task and finish it without bothering the team..
- some see "team-player" as someone who share his knowledege and help other members of the team.
- some extermisits may confuse "team-player" for "yes-man".
- others might visual the team-player as someone who would be willing to work over-time during crisis as part of the mutual team effort.

so who is the real team-player?
1st Try to figure which type of team player is your interviewer, thats the team player he or she will be expecting (or expecting to nullify).
2nd The person your interviewer would feel comfrtable to share his work and thoughts, the person your interviewer feel he can trust - usually is the team player he is looking for.
