Working longer hours

We work more than the standard hours here - how do you feel about working longer hours , even weekends?

I answered I did not have a problem working longer hours when required to ensure during busy periods deadlines are met however I beleive that it's imporatnat to maintain work life balance.

I have always been an advocate of work-life integration vs. balance, since balance implies making compromises. Rather than make choices between conflicting priorities, find ways to meld work-life -- you'll sleep easier. I have done the 12 hour days and at some point the law of diminishing returns kicks in. You need to find ways to re-fresh yourself (often called "active rest").
