a) The main part of HTML5 that I am using regularly in projects is the DOCTYPE declaration, this allows me to use the new syntax for page structure and making life easier for myself and my clients as we go forward. The biggest part of (what most people call) "HTML5" that I am using CSS3 elements such as transitions, shadows and radius effects.

b) I am looking forward to applying the new structural mark up, such as: section, article, header, footer - to improve the semantics of the structural elements of the page.

Be ready for the followup questions. Jon Kokke provided an excellent answer. But think through the "why" and "how" followup questions.

How will the DOCTYPE declaration help going forward? Why would we use transitions? How does HTML5 improve semantics of a page? What do you mean by semantics?

Remember, an employer wants to know what you know, and how well you know it as well as you ability to communicate that info to others. Give full, accurate and complete answers but keep the details on a level that will not be overly complex.
